The Worship Committee has planned a summer series based on former Episcopal priest Barbara Brown Taylor's book, An Altar in the World.  Each chapter in the book is a reflection on one kind of spiritual practice, some familiar and some unfamiliar.  Our services will use Taylor's reflections as a jumping off point to consider how we experience these spiritual practices, many of which challenge us to understand our customary activities in very different ways.  Two Sundays of each month, we'll invite everyone to a brown bag discussion after the service to use the spiritual practice that had been the focus of the service as a tool for opening up some of the large questions that face our congregation.
